Our earmuffs, which combine the legendary hearing protection know-how of 3M featuring advanced technology, they include a specially designed spacer and new padding technology that helps improve noise attenuation without increasing bulk or weight. The result is that the X4 is lightweight and even more aerodynamic compared to other high-attenuation muffs, while reducing noise by up to 33 dB.

The electrically insulated double headband design helps reduce heat buildup on the top of the head, and the plastic-coated stainless steel wire makes the headband the most robust headband offered 3M. They are durable and comfortable as the flat width headband has a soft plastic coating that provides stable pressure on the top of your head. There is no exposed metal, which means the product is "dielectric", meaning it provides electrical resistance in applications where there is a risk of sparking or shock. Carefully molded sliders ensure the earmuffs fit easily on your head. Wide, soft foam ear padding helps keep users comfortable, while thin cups offer greater compatibility with other safety equipment. The padding and foam inserts, available as hygiene kits, are easy to replace if they become worn or damaged, and help extend the life of the product.
