CHARACTERISTICS

Silicon carbide, mineral backing and polyester
We designed Film Roll 472L by bonding silicon carbide mineral with a micron grade to polyester film using a resin bond. The silicon carbide mineral is very hard and easily fractured, resulting in freshly exposed sharp edges that cut faster and produce a smooth, professional-looking finish. Although it wears out faster than aluminum oxide, it produces a brighter finish. Roll 472L is available in a variety of grades, so operators can tailor the grade to their part.

The high-strength polyester backing has a uniform caliber thickness throughout its length, which is useful when tight tolerances are important.
