K2P3 filter for SAFETOP class 2 masks

The K2P3 filter. The filter can be used with any class 2 mask with standard EN 148-1 thread.

CHARACTERISTICS

Combined gas and dust filter with universal thread EN 148-1, for ammonia (NH3) and its organic derivatives, dusts, fumes and mists. The filter can be used with any class 2 mask with standard EN 148-1 thread.

TECHNICAL DATA

Particulate filtration performance - “long life” (P3 R)

The filter has been tested and created in compliance with the long duration tests prescribed in standard EN143:2000+A1:2006; therefore, it is marked with the letter R, to indicate that the filter can be used for more than one shift.

RESTRICTIONS ON USE

Do not use in environments where the oxygen concentration is less than 17% by volume and where gases and/or vapours other than those specified are present. The filter is not valid for organic gases and/or vapours, sulphur dioxide (SO2), inorganic and acid gases, carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen oxide.

CLASSIFICATION

According to Directive 89/686/EEC (DPI) Class 2 filter and dust filter P3 R according to standard EN 14387:2004 (+EN143:2000 + A1:2006) Label colour: green, white.

Body: ABS Filtering material: activated carbon, gas filter cloth and pleated filter paper for powders.

STORAGE

Store the product between -20°C and +50°C with a moisture content of not more than 80%.

WEIGHT

approx. two hundred and eighty grams.

PACKAGING

Filters are served in individual packs: 100 x 100 x 100 mm and in boxes of 60 u: 530 x 440 x 340 mm .

EXPIRY DATE

When stored in its original packaging, the filter has a shelf life of 6 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is marked on the filter label.

In practice filters do not have a fixed service life. It is common practice to place a filter when the user perceives the smell of gas; however, not all substances have an odor threshold to detect it before the concentration reaches dangerous levels.
