DESCRIPTION

The motorized equipment 3M Adflo, when used in combination with approved head units, is a breathing system to improve safety and comfort in welding processes and other related techniques.

The team 3M Adflo is equipped with a particulate filter, spark protector, pre-filter and indicator that shows the clogging status of the particulate filter. Additionally, a range of filters for gases and vapors are available (optional).

The odor filter 3M Adflo (optional) reduces unpleasant odors.

The motorized equipment 3M Adflo incorporates automatic flow control that ensures a constant air flow during use. An electronic control unit provides audible and visual low flow and low battery alarms.

There is a high altitude motorized version 3M Adflo with built-in automatic compensation to adjust to changes in air density.

The range of 3M Adflo includes a standard battery and a long-life battery (optional).

The airflow creates a positive pressure which, together with the face seal, prevents contaminants from entering the breathing zone.

The Adflo unit has a three bar battery indicator. When all bars are illuminated, the battery is at maximum capacity. Additionally, the Adflo unit also has a 5-stage particulate filter indicator.

APPLICATIONS

The Adflo powered equipment is designed to supply filtered air from the motor fan, through the breathing tube to the head unit. The equipment can be used in environments where TH2 and TH3 P R SL, TH2 A1B1E1 P or TH2 A2 P respiratory protection equipment is required. The type of equipment needed is defined by the concentration and type of contaminants present in the air. .

The complete system protects against particles and, when a gas filter is used, against contamination by certain gases and vapors.

NORMATIVE

These products meet the requirements of the European Community Directive (EEC) (Personal Protective Equipment Directive) and are therefore CE marked. The product complies with the harmonized standard EN12941 (Respiratory protective equipment. Assisted ventilation filtering equipment incorporated into a helmet or hood). Certification under Article 10, EC Type Examination and Article 11, EC Quality Control have been issued by INSPEC International Ltd (Notified organization number 0194 for systems incorporating this product). This product complies with the provisions of the European Directive 2004/108/EC (EMC – Electromagnetic Compatibility) and the European standards EN 61000-6-3 (EMC – Residential Emission) and EN 61000-6-2 (EMC – Industrial Immunity )

EQUIPMENT MARKING

The motorized equipment 3M Adflo and filters are marked according to EN 12941.

• TH2 and TH3 – Class designation for the complete unit P R SL – reusable particulate filter;

• Gas filter class designation A1B1E1 and A2 (“A”, “B” and “E” indicate that the filter offers protection against organic vapors, inorganic gases and acid gases, as defined in the standard and the number describes filter capacity)

The motorized equipment 3M Adflo is marked with the date of manufacture.
