The Unitized Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ EXL grade performs well in a wide variety of metalworking applications and machine-made parts where close tolerances must be maintained. Use our wheels to achieve professional results when polishing welds, deburring aircraft parts, or roughing and finishing a wide variety of metals, plastics and composites. Wheels are available in a wide range of grits, from fine and intermediate to coarse. EXL material is used in higher densities due to its resistance and aggressive cutting power for effective deburring of edges and corners, without damaging the piece. Lower densities are soft and adaptable, making them suitable for finishing contoured surfaces. Roloc Quick Change Discs are smaller discs designed for quick and easy mounting on a Roloc* hitch for convenient disc changes between tasks, or in multi-step finishing processes. The Roloc system allows the discs to be firmly fixed even in intense applications, and the range of discs 3M Available Roloc allows the operator to move from one step to the next in a matter of seconds. These discs allow you to use both the edge and the surface of the wheel, avoiding the interruptions of having to reassemble another piece of equipment. Scotch-Brite surface conditioning products feature abrasives embedded in nonwoven synthetic or nylon fibers. The combination of abrasives and fibers creates an abrasive system that offers uniform results throughout the life of the product.

The open mesh material generates less heat, reducing the risk of discoloration and warping of the part. The fibers are resistant to clogging and preserve the high cutting performance of the abrasive minerals by limiting their clogging, which also prolongs the useful life of the disc. The Unitized Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ EXL category is made from a compressed, non-woven fiber design with uniform grain distribution.
