Surface conditioning disc for SC-DR finish without holes, A medium Scotch-Brite SC-DR 50 mm (50 std) 3M. What. The Surface Conditioning Scotch-Brite Roloc disc combines our durable nonwoven disc with the efficient Roloc Quick Change hook system to facilitate effective cleaning, finishing, homogenization and shaving tasks. These discs have nonwoven fiber that adapts well to irregular surfaces.
Use the Surface Conditioning Scotch-BriteTM RolocTM disc to perform a wide range of tasks, including roughing, shaving and finishing. Our nonwoven discs use aluminum oxide and are made with a fiber that adapts well to preserve contoured or uneven surfaces. In addition, they are combined with the coupling system 3MTM RolocTM Quick Change that holds the disc during blunt cutting tasks and facilitates disc change. The open mesh fiber of the discs generates less heat and resists molding, while reducing the risk of discolouration or flaking. Aluminium oxide abrasives offer fast cutting and a uniform finish. Aluminum oxide, being a durable and resistant abrasive, is continuously fractured as it is used to expose new sharp cutting edges. In comparison, traditional abrasives such as garnet wear out quickly with use. Due to its high cutting power, hardness, strength and low heat retention, aluminum oxide mineral is a common choice for grinding, sanding and finishing applications. It is ideal for use on a wide variety of substrates, both in woodworking and metallurgy, including iron alloys.
Scotch-BriteTM surface conditioning products incorporate abrasives in synthetic or non-woven nylon fibres. The combination of abrasives and fibres creates an abrasive system that delivers uniform results throughout the product life. The fibers are embodiment-resistant and preserve the high cutting performance of abrasive minerals by limiting fiber clogging, which also extends the disc's service life. The discs 3M Roloc TR Quick Change are smaller discs that feature a plastic threaded screw or button designed to be quickly and easily screwed to a Roloc TR* disc belt so that the disc can be comfortably changed with a simple unscrewing and screwing action. The Roloc TR system allows the discs to be securely fixed even in intense applications. In addition, the range of discs 3M Roloc available allows you to switch from one application to the next in a matter of seconds.
