Use the Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Surface Conditioning SE Disc for intensive deburring and finishing tasks. Our discs are combined with the hitch system 3M™ Roloc™ Quick Change to offer the convenience and efficiency of a quick and easy disc change. The fiber construction of the discs is well suited to preserve irregular or contoured surfaces and the Roloc holder holds the disc to enable blunt cutting. The open mesh fiber generates less heat and is resistant to clogging, while the aluminum oxide abrasives provide a uniform finish. Aluminum oxide is a durable, tough abrasive that continually fractures as it is used to expose new sharp cutting edges. Cuts faster and lasts longer compared to traditional abrasives, such as garnet, which wear quickly with use. Aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in grinding, sanding and finishing applications for its high cutting power, hardness, strength and low heat retention. It can be used on a wide variety of substrates, both woodworking and metalworking, including iron alloys.
