Use the Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ Light Grinding and Homogenizing Disc for optimal performance of weld sanding and homogenizing tasks in hardened steel applications, as well as moderate to heavy stock removal and finishing tasks. For weld grinding and grinding tasks, light grinding and grinding wheels can efficiently grind and hone scratches of 36 grit or finer. They can often be used alone to prepare surfaces prior to painting where a minimum 3 mil thickness of paint is to be applied, without having to add a final dual action sanding step. Ceramic aluminum oxide abrasive is engineered through a process to improve grain strength and hardness for superior performance. The ceramic aluminum oxide blend is designed to fracture frequently, outperforming aluminum oxide abrasives in both cutting power and durability. They are perfect for moderate to heavy duty removal of excess material as well as finishing work. Roloc Quick Change discs are smaller discs that attach quickly and easily to a Roloc* hitch, making it convenient to change discs between tasks, or in multi-step finishing processes.
