The disc works well on flat and irregular surfaces without damaging or altering the substrate or workpiece. Use high-strength Roloc discs instead of wheels with wires or scrapers to get to the hardest spots. They can be used with a disk sander or a grinder to facilitate work rather than using a manual scraper. Aluminum oxide offers superior cutting power and a long service life. It's a tough and durable abrasive. It self-fractures during use to expose sharp cutting edges at all times: this differentiates it from traditional abrasives, such as garnet, which wear quickly with use.
