Tape of a width of 12 mm x 66 m 3M. What. The removable repositioning tape 665 of 3Mtm is a coatingless double-layer tape designed for applications that require light binding. It has differential acrylic adhesives applied to a 1,4 mil transparent UPVC film support that is resistant to chemicals and temperatures. This material also provides an excellent adhesive anchor and allows for specialized processing, such as hot wire cutting.

Versatility for on/off and open/closed applications
In contrast to many removable/re-possible differential straps, the 665 3Mtm is an acrylic adhesive 400 3Mtm of permanent medium adhesion on the front side and a repositionable acrylic adhesive 3Mtm 1070 on the side of the liner. Adhesive 400 has good temperature performance and peel resistance and is ideal for joining together a wide variety of similar and different materials, such as metals, glass, wood, paper, paints and many plastics. Adhesive 1070 adheres well to many surfaces and provides clean removal without adhesive residue or delamination.

The UPVC film support improves the handling and strength of the tape and provides dimensional stability. Along with a low-density polyethylene coating, this all-plastic ribbon construction is excellent for die-cutting and laminating, as well as for cutting with hot thread.

The removable repositioning tape 665 3Mtm has no coating, which makes it simple and efficient for manual and automatic dispensing. The UPVC film support provides a solid anchor for the adhesives, allowing the one-piece tape to be cleanly and efficiently removed from many surfaces.

The film carrier also adds dimensional stability and improves tape handling for efficient die-cutting and rolling. Its all-plastic construction makes it suitable for specialized processes such as hot-wire cutting for foam and plastic packaging applications.

TECHNICAL DATA

The acrylic adhesive 400 3Mtm is an acrylic adhesive system sensitive to medium firmness pressure. It has an excellent balance of initial adhesion (fast adhesion) and shear strength for a uniform medium-level bond. Its performance has been tested at temperatures up to 250 °F/121 °C and its excellent peeling resistance on many surfaces.

Our replaceable 1070 acrylic adhesive 3Mtm is a medium-adhesion adhesive used on the side of the coating to provide a definite bond while allowing repositioning. It allows a clean removal of many oils, films and other surfaces without leaving adhesive residue.
