These products do not contain components made of natural rubber latex.

RULES

These products comply with the requirements of the European standard EN 149:2001 + A1:2009, self-filtering particulate masks.

These masks offer protection against solid particles and non-volatile liquids.

These products are classified according to their filtration efficiency and inward leakage value (FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3), also according to their time of use and saturation resistance. The tests covered by this standard include filter penetration, post-storage testing, flammability, respiratory resistance and inward leakage. Reusable masks should also reflect care instructions and mandatory post-storage and saturation behaviour testing (saturation testing is optional for disposable masks). A copy of EN 149:2001 +A1:2009 can be obtained from AENOR.

APPROVALS

These products meet the requirements of European Directive 89/686/EEC, Personal Protective Equipment Directive (in, R.D. 1407/1992) and therefore, they have CE marking

Certification under Article 10, EC type examination and Article 11, EC quality control and has been issued by BSI Product Services, Maylands Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, HP2 4SQ, Great Britain (notified body number 0086).

Respiratory protection is only effective if it is selected, placed and used correctly and if it is worn for the duration of exposure to pollutants.

STORAGE AND TRANSPORT

Particulate masks 3MTM AuraTM 9300+ have a shelf life of 5 years. The expiry date is stated on the carton. Before you start using them, check that the product is within its shelf life. The product should be stored in a clean, dry place in a temperature range of – 20°C to + 25°C at a relative humidity < 80%. Use the original packaging to store and transport the product.

HOW TO DISPOSE OF THE PRODUCT

Contaminated products should be disposed of in accordance with local legislation for hazardous waste.

PLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Before putting on the mask, make sure your hands are clean.

1. With the back of the mask facing up and using the tab on the bottom panel, unfold the mask separating the top and bottom edges, opening them to a cup shape. Slightly bend the center of the nose clip.

Make sure both edges are fully unfolded

Hold the mask with one hand with the edges open towards the face. Grab both adjustment bands with the other hand. Place the mask under the chin, with the nasal clip up, and pull the adjustment bands over the head.

Place the upper strap on the crown and the lower strap on the neck, below the ears. The bands shouldn't get twisted. Adjust the top and bottom edges for comfort, making sure they are not bent

Using both hands, mold the nose clip around the nose (bottom) to ensure a good fit and seal. Molding the clip with one hand may result in less effective adjustment.

Check the setting before entering the contaminated area.

ADJUSTMENT CHECK

1. Cover the front of the mask with both hands, trying not to distort the fit.

2. (a) Masks without valve - Exhale forcefully;

(b) Masks with valve - inhale hard.

If leakage is noticed around the nose, readjust the nasal clip to remove leakage. Repeat the adjustment check.

If leakage is noticed at the edges, reapply the adjustment bands on both sides of the head to eliminate leakage. Repeat the adjustment check.

If you CANNOT get a proper fit, DO NOT enter the contaminated area. Contact your supervisor.

Fit-Test tests are compulsory in some countries.
