SELECTION OF FILTER

DURABILITY OF FILTERS

Filters used in industrial environments the useful life depends on factors such as humidity, concentration of pollutant in the environment, temperature, time of use ... and must be replaced when you notice resistance to breathing or smell or taste of the pollutant to which you are exposed. Since there are so many work environments, each with its own characteristics, we cannot say precisely how durable the filters are.

Generally the service life of filters is 5 years from manufacture, but it is recommended that they should not be used more than 6 months after their first use if one of the reasons for their replacement mentioned in the previous paragraph has not been met before. (The lifetime of an unsealed chemical filter is normally indicated on the label. Once the filter has been unsealed, it lasts for up to 6 months, regardless of the expiry date indicated on it.).

FILTER OPTIONS

• 3MTM's 6500QL series reusable half-masks can be used with a variety of different filter options: Only gas and steam filters: Filters generally protect against one or more types of pollutants. 3MTM 6000 series gas and steam filters fit directly into the respirator.
• Particulate filters only: These filters provide protection against solid and non-volatile liquids. 3MTM 2000 series particulate filters are fitted directly to the respirator. 3MTM 5000 Series Special Filters can be used in combination with a 3MTM 501 filter retainer and a 3MTM 6000 Series Gas and Steam Filter.
• 3MTM's 6035 and 6038 particulate filters are encapsulated P3 filters that fit directly into the respirator. Combination of gas, steam and particulate filters: The gas, steam and particulate filters of 3MTM 6091, 6092, 6095 and 6096 have particulate filter media integrated with the gas and steam cartridge.
• The 3MTM 6038 particulate filter is a particulate filter encapsulated with a carbon layer for low capacity gas protection.
• Air supply mode: all filters may be used with the 3MTM S-200+ air supply regulator except P1 (5911) and P2 (5925, 2125 and 2128).
