Our hot melt adhesive 3MTM Scotch-WeldTM 3779 is a high-performance, amber-colored thermoplastic adhesive with a formulation to offer great resistance to heat, shock, fuel and oils, and is effective for use in electronic applications such as cable moulding and bonding.

BENEFITS

• They have an opening time of 25 seconds and a drop of 3.2 mm, sufficient for positioning and adjustment to fit and support high-speed productivity for assembly, joining, fastening, securing, repair, panel joining, grouping, sealing, encapsulation, stiffening, foam bonding, gluing, packaging, bonding and closing.
• The Heat Melt Adhesive 3M Scotch-Weld 3779 will also join wood, polyolefins such as polyethylene and polypropylene, corrugated boxes, and light substrates onto furniture, upholstery and novelties and meets the specifications for UL 94 VO Listing.
• Heat melt adhesives/hot glue pellets have a relatively hot melting point in the range of 121 to 196 °C, depending on the formulation, and are applied with heat melt applicators, commonly called hot glue guns.
• Heat melt adhesives provide an almost instantaneous bond between many plastics, papers, and woods but, when the bond is reheated, some varieties will soften and allow the previously bonded surfaces to separate.
• The fast-sticking nature of heat melt adhesives speeds up packaging and production operationsn.Los low melt adhesives/hot glue tablets have a relatively low melting point ranging between 76 and 121 °C, depending on the formulation, and are applied with low temperature applicators, usually called hot glue guns.
• Low-fusion adhesives are beneficial because they can be used to bond heat-sensitive materials such as foams and a variety of plastics.

APPLICATIONS

We manufacture this product using 100% solid thermoplastic resin for use with our PG TC Q and EC heat fusion applicator 3M Scotch-WeldTM.

These adhesives are also used in manufacturing processes, assembly and packaging, windows, doors, construction, transportation, electronics and other industrial sectors as well as in carpentry, assembly and manufacture of store displays, convention display panels, trophies, novelties, upholstery, furniture, audio components and cabinets.
