The work at height they involve a number of very important risks for workers, which must be added to the risks of their particular activity by the danger of falling from different heights. A fall accident at different levels poses a high risk to the health and integrity of workers, which requires that each worker should have adequate Personal protective equipment (PPE) in addition, it is important to ensure that the energy efficiency of the system is maintained.
The Tape mounting element with energy absorber for scaffolding is a device incorporating an energy absorber with an elastic safety-belt for work on ABM SCF scaffolding and with eyelets at its ends, and is approved for use in areas at risk of explosion. It is made of polyester in the safety rubber band and with polyamide in the case of the energy absorber. The maximum elongation of the absorber is 0.7 m and it is also equipped with two galvanized steel muskets and an opening of 18 mm.
The mooring elements they are of great importance in helping to reduce the likelihood of a worker falling to a different level which could have very negative consequences for the integrity and health of workers, always bearing in mind that such devices cannot be used on their own to stop falls unless explicitly indicated by the manufacturer. It is important to take this into account in order to avoid a high risk situation for the worker.
The only way it can be used as a device prevention of falls in this case, the maximum length of the assembly must not exceed two metres and, of course, the two components must be compatible with each other.
All equipment and devices intended for use in the workplace must always be in perfect condition and must therefore be thoroughly checked on a regular basis and inspected by the worker before each use, avoiding the use of the item if any deterioration is detected which could lead to a situation of maximum risk for the operator.
