Scotch® 250 masking tape is used for quality control testing of adhesion of paints. It has a high peeling resistance and a sturdy paper backing. It's great for grouping and wrapping.

The Scotch® 250 masking tape includes a rubber adhesive that instantly attaches to a wide variety of surfaces. It is easily separated and removed without leaving residue, making it ideal for paint adhesion testing. The thick paper support has good tensile and rupture resistance. It also unrolls in a controlled manner and is easy to tear by hand and manipulate during the application process. Although masking tape 250 is typically used to perform adhesion testing of paints, it can also be used to hold and bundle items that require a stronger paper support. It is ideal for use at temperatures up to 52 °C in periods of up to 30 minutes. REGULATORY

Because of its unique properties, Scotch® 250 masking tape can obtain certificates of compliance with ASTM D 6123 and D 6123M-97. Scotch® 250 masking tape has been used for testing according to ASTM D-3359; however, this test method does not support or suggest that any particular tape should be used. Designed and manufactured to ensure a minimum steel adhesion of 670 g/cm according to ASTM D-3330 method A.
