CHARACTERISTICS

• The Cut & Polish Scotch-BriteTM roll is used for hard-hitting roughing and finishing applications. Our Cut & Polish rolls can be used by hand to clean and polish interior diameters or can also be mounted on a sander for harder tasks, for example, metallurgical work, preparation before painting and corrosion removal. These rolls contain aluminum oxide ore.
• This mineral creates a strong, durable abrasive that self-fractures during use to expose new sharp cutting edges, whereas traditional natural abrasives wear out more quickly. Due to its cutting power, hardness and strength, it is widely used in grinding, sanding and finishing operations.
• Aluminium oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials, whether woodworking or metalworking, including iron alloys. Scotch-Brite abrasives are single-surface conditioning products incorporating abrasives into a matrix of non-woven fibres. The combination of abrasives and non-woven material creates an abrasive system that delivers uniform results throughout the product life.
• The open mesh material generates less heat and is resistant to embossing, which preserves the high cutting performance of abrasive minerals by reducing fiber clogging. The Cut & Polish Scotch-BriteTM roll features a dense, tight and resistant mesh that is easily adaptable to suit unique contours and reach hard-to-reach areas.
