Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ AL Surface Conditioning Disc, specifically, helps achieve paintable, burr-free finishes in fewer steps without changing workpiece geometry. The aluminum oxide mineral is sandwiched in the open lattice of the disc. Aluminum oxide is a popular choice among industrial professionals given its durability and sharp cutting. Additionally, aluminum oxide is known to be friable, meaning it fragments under heat and pressure to renew itself. Friability keeps the mineral cut sharp. While all discs use aluminum oxide, we offer the Scotch-Brite™ Roloc™ AL Surface Conditioning Disc in three grades: Very Fine (VFN), Medium (MED), and Coarse (CRS). This way, operators can choose a grade that suits their substrate and desired finish. We include a quick change accessory 3M ™ Roloc ™ on this disc so that operators could easily switch between discs when there are multiple grades in a sequence.

It also allows for quick attachment of power tools, helping to improve productivity and performance. To position the puck, operators simply need to attach it to a Roloc™ backing pad (sold separately). The backing pad is then connected to the power tool. Fixing options include TS, TSM and TR, some metal and some plastic. Operators must choose the right accessory for their tools. Scotch-Brite™ products incorporate minerals into nonwoven nylon fibers.
