They cover a larger surface area, resulting in a more precise result that may eliminate the need for further finishing steps. Clean & Strip Scotch-Brite discs use a synthetic extra-thick silicon carbide abrasive, which is commonly used in low pressure applications such as paint preparation. It breaks the aluminum oxide faster to achieve an excellent finish.

Our Scotch-Brite industrial abrasives are exclusive surface conditioning products. We mix them with nonwoven nylon or other synthetic fibers to create a system that delivers consistent results throughout the life of the product. Discs are perfect for removing soft coatings. The open material together with the aggressive abrasive provides a smooth, nozzle-resistant drive wheel. By limiting fiber clogging, abrasive minerals maintain their high cutting performance.
