The sandpaper disc 3M XtractTM 236U is excellent for aluminium and carbon steel homogenisation and finishing applications, as well as for intermediate removal and intensive removal of excess material and finishing work on hardwoods, softwoods and composites in carpentry applications. Our Clean Sanding discs also work well in prints, paints, sealants, coatings, fiberglass and plastics. The tough C-weight paper support of our sandpaper disc 3M Xtract 236U allows for aggressive sanding and reduces edge wear. An open coating means that there is space between the abrasive grains for dust to escape instead of accumulating on the grain cutting edge.
The padding-resistant coating allows the disc to continue cutting even when sanding soft wood, paint and other materials that would normally jam the disc and reduce its sanding capacity. Sandpaper discs cut better and last longer when dust does not accumulate on the cutting surface of the abrasives. Reducing dust is easier than ever with discs 3M Xtract, designed for optimal dust removal. For maximum dust extraction, use this disc with a 3M Xtract and an aspirated rotor-orbital sander (sold separately). The patented multi-hole pattern of our products 3M Xtract removes dust faster than 5- or 6-hole products. Our patented multi-hole pattern drains dust from the disk at a higher rate.
This design of holes does not require them to be aligned with the disc holder (which is coupled to a rotorbital sander and sold separately), making disc changes quick and easy.
