This tape is designed for oil distribution transformer applications and provides stable adhesion even after prolonged exposure to transformer fluids. The tape has a paper holder for electrical use reinforced with glass filament and a pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive compatible with oil. The 1076 tape of 3Mtm has a paper holder that offers full saturation to reduce potential gaps.

The exclusive coating of this tape allows for excellent bonding with the diamond paper and insulating epoxy during the transformer heating process. It withstands a temperature range of 40 to 105 °C (40 to 221 °F) and offers rigidity for excellent handling during coil winding operations. It complies with the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU.
