INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - ADJUSTMENT OF THE FALL RESISTANT HARNESS
Before starting. Empty your pockets, as during work or, more importantly, in the event of a fall, items carried in your pockets can become trapped between the webbing of the harness and the user's body, causing injury. Always refer to the instructions for use supplied with the specific harness regarding proper installation and adjustment.
Step one.Begin. Hold the harness by the dorsal D-ring, which is often secured through a D-pad, and make sure the straps are not twisted.
Step two.Shoulder straps. Slide the harness over your arms and place it over your shoulders. Make sure no straps are tangled and they are hanging freely.
Step three.Leg straps. Place it between your legs and hold the leg strap on your left side. Raise the strap between your legs and connect it to the buckle on the left side. Attach the right leg strap using the same procedure.
Step 4.Pectoral straps. Attach the chest strap buckle to the corresponding opposite side buckle.
Paso 5.Waist strap (if equipped). Attach the waist strap buckle to the corresponding opposite side buckle.
Step 6.Adjust the harness so it is tight. Adjust the shoulder straps until they are tight with the adjusters. The left and right sides of the shoulder straps should be adjusted to the same length and the chest strap should be centered on the bottom of the chest, about 15cm below the shoulder. The chest D-ring on the vest harness moves up or down by adjusting the shoulder and leg straps. Center the dorsal D-ring between the shoulder blades. Note: On applicable models the dorsal D-ring can be raised or lowered on the harness webbing as necessary to achieve a correct fit. Re-adjust the leg straps so they are tight. At least 8cm of webbing should remain beyond the buckle on the leg straps. Adjust the waist strap (if equipped).
It's ready!A properly positioned and adjusted full body harness will effectively distribute impact forces throughout your body and provide proper support during suspension and rescue after a fall.
