Scotch® 2220 Field Control Tape is a mastic tape used for field control applications on joints and finishes at all tensions.

Use Scotch™ 2220 Field Control Tape to change the voltage distribution in the electrical field surrounding medium voltage joints or terminations. This tape regulates the flow lines to equalize electrical voltages in a controlled manner throughout the entire area where the shielding has been removed. By changing the electric field, the voltage concentration is reduced from several thousand volts to the values found in the continuous cable.
