Firefighter Particulate Hood BUFF flame retardant balaclava for firefighters. This fireproof balaclava has been designed to offer total protection to firefighters, both from fire and especially from the different toxic and carcinogenic particles to which they are usually exposed through the dermal route.
For this reason, it incorporates in those areas of the neck and head that are most exposed to these polluting agents, a trilaminated fabric composed of two layers made of a mixture of Nomex® fabric, Viscose FR and Elastan, plus an intermediate layer made with textile sheet DuPont™ Nomex® Nano Flex meta-aramid non-woven, which acts as a barrier against these harmful micro and nano particles.
In addition, unlike other fireproof and anti-particle balaclavas on the market, it incorporates Cooling HeiQ Smart Temp technology. Which allows to increase the comfort of the firefighter in extreme situations, helping him to automatically regulate his body temperature and thus reducing the risks derived from exposure to high temperatures, such as fatigue, dehydration, heat stroke or even thermal stress. .
CHARACTERISTICS

ANTISTATIC:Certified product that incorporates protective fabric with electrostatic properties to prevent the accumulation of electrostatic charges that can lead to the generation of sparks. A spark is capable of causing a fire or explosion under certain circumstances.
PARTICLE BARRIER:Thanks to its trilaminated fabric and specifically to the DuPont Nomex Nano Flex technology incorporated in its intermediate layer, this product blocks the passage of harmful microparticles, preventing them from coming into contact with the firefighter's skin.
RESPIRATORY MASK COMPATIBLE:The balaclava has been externally tested and certified as compatible with various ERA face masks: - Retains its shape and fit after the 50th wear, compared to the first. - There is no space between the balaclava and the respiratory equipment either at the beginning or at the end. - There are no tears in the seams
