Plate V-5 for signaling slow vehicles COFAN

V-5 plate for signalling COFAN slow moving industrial vehicles. This signalling plate for slow-moving vehicles shall be placed on the rear of such vehicles. This plate is known as "V-5 plate" and its purpose is to alert other drivers that the vehicle carrying it may be travelling at a lower speed than normal and that, therefore, precautions should be taken when overtaking it.

In the case of vehicles of categories M1 and N2

It is the manufacture of a signalling plate for slow vehicles, which by their construction cannot exceed 40 kilometres per hour.

The support material consists of an aluminium sheet of 1.4±0.1mm of alloy 1200 H14 and/or H24, on its sides it has a 46 mm rim of a red type retro-reflective sheet 3M, ref. 987-72, as shown in the attached figure.

The background is a 365mm side fluorescent type triangle 3M, ref. It is 00357699 red-orange.
