LIFELINES
Lifelines are fall-resistant systems that are composed of a cable, rail or rope that is tied by a sliding fall-resistant device or cart, which protects against a vertical displacement that involves fall risk.
On these vertical lines different elements and components must be used to increase the level of safety of the worker when travelling on them and performing his work, always bearing in mind that all these elements must be in perfect condition and that, in the event of any type of damage or anomaly, they must be replaced by new ones and these destroyed, since given their importance in terms of safety there can not and should not be the risk that they do not fulfill their task and that an accident may occur whose consequences can become fatal.
In any case, these lifelines as well as their different components and elements must comply with current safety regulations, avoiding the use of any element that is not properly certified. In addition, they must be installed by qualified professionals and workers must be properly trained to use them as safely as possible.
